I came to photography through cinema.
My background is the more demanding world of the moving image: documentary and commercial directing, cinematography, editing, and 3D. For years, clients kept asking for the still frames first, single moments pulled straight from the footage, and those frames traveled further than the films they came from.
So I went all in on photography. The years behind a cinema camera gave me a way of seeing that very few photographers have. I still treat every frame like a painting: part science, part luck, a lot of patience, waiting for light, gesture, and meaning to settle into the one in a million frame.
Taylor gave us the best photo experience ever. He really took his time with us, all twelve of us, and got the absolute best out of everyone. He waited for the perfect combination of evening light and shadows on the Deschutes River to capture the essence of our family. We have wonderful images and memories that will last a lifetime.
Taylor was fantastic to work with. Personable, professional, and he made everyone feel comfortable. He has an incredible ability to capture genuine moments between people and their pets. So many people commented on his professionalism. He truly cares about creating impactful memories, and executes high quality content.
